After much experimentation of how to make the mesh more accomodating to the rig and movement this is the current state of the body mesh so far. What I learnt from making plump characters last year was without the knowledge they are pretty limited, though she is much thinner than Sally and Snod I don't want to make the same mistake again. The mesh flow will probably change again and I'm looking at putting some extra fur on the elbows too.

I've actually had to start earning now so personal work has been put aside so just a fur update for now. I don't want to use Maya fur I want her to be characterful so I've been experimenting with modelling fur. The left was how it was originally but it looks like its been gelled and not very friendly so after some partner feedback and brainstorming the idea of chunkier fur shapes came around. I've also changed the geometry a little from the last post as the flow was very straight, it's now more accommodating to her shape. I'm now attempting to add similar bits of fur to her knees and ankle but it's proving a little difficult trying to feed all the extra edges back into the model.
