Adaptation Part B: Rottcodd First Thumbnails

These sre my first thumbnails for Rottcodd. I have done 5 different faces then experimented with hair, I have revisited the physical description, used my influence map and used the animal aye aye as a reference. I personally like face number 3 and 5 and for hair I also like number 3.

  1. Hi.

Slow down! - I realise that sounds like odd advice but at the moment you are drawing a generic old man (however nice your drawings are). The goal of this project is to identify and use informed thinking / creativity to get to somewhere interesting, clever, and new. What is it in the text that makes this character distinct, what is his role? how can you inform your research beyond the text? How can you find an original angle of interpretation?

Also, the feedback you got for your character project focused around a deeper drawing knowledge (anatomy, posing etc)...however this applies to thinking and creativity too. A deeper understanding will allow you to approach your work in newer ways and improve final results. See me for advice.
